From Santa Maria Novella to the Duomo
From Piazza Santa Maria Novella, we reach the basilica of Santa Maria Novella by Leon Battista Alberti, headquarters, in the past, of the Order of Dominicans.
Walking on Via dei Panzani and Via de 'Cerretani, you will arrive in Piazza San Giovanni where you can admire the Baptistery, In honor of St. John the Baptist. Immediately after the Baptistery there is the Dome by Arnolfo di Cambio and Giotto. Inside the Dome, as well as the magnificent architecture, you will admire the famous dome by Brunelleschi.
From Orsanmichele to Ponte Vecchio
Starting point of our journey is the Church of Orsanmichele, also known under the name of Loggia del Grano (of the wheat).
Leaving Orsanmichele and walk in the famous Via Calzaiuoli you will arrive at the Logge di Mercato Nuovo (Lodge of New Market) built by Giovanni Battista del Sasso, famous in the past for beeing a big market of gold and silk.
Piazza della Signoria, where there is a copy of the statue of the David by Michelangelo, whose original is kept in the Museo dell'Accademia. Also in the square you can visit Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery .
From Piazza della Signoria, finally, along the Uffizi gallery you will find the Ponte Vecchio.
From Palazzo Pitti Ponte Vecchio
Our itineray starts at Palazzo Pitti , near the Boboli Gardens .
Taking into Via Guicciardini, you arrive at Ponte Vecchio, on the Arno River and from there along Borgo San Jacopo and Via Maggio, we reach the Church of the Holy Spirit by Brunelleschi .
Through St. Augustine Street and Via Santa Monaca you will finally reach, Santa Maria del Carmine.
