The Museum of Natural History

The Museum of Natural History of Florence, belongs to the University of Florence. It was founded in 1775 by the Grand Duke Peter Leopold and today is the most important naturalistic museums in Italy and one of the most important in the world.

The museum is divided in 6 sections  and it houses specimens of extraordinary scientific and naturalistic importance.
