On holiday in Florence not to give up a little healthy relax!
Cascine Park is one of the parks most characteristic of Florence. The name derives from the fact that once there stood several farms, dedicated especially to the animal.
The park is a long section of land located between the Arno and the Mugnone River. Its main entrance is situated in Piazza Vittorio Veneto.
The Cascine Park represents an alternative to chaos in the city and it is the Florentine’s favourite park for picnics, and enjoying the good climate Florence. Families with little children, pensioners, young people, joggers, bikers and horse riders love going to the Cascine Family.
Amateur cricket matches are habitual in the Cascine Park because there are some good stands selling cricket’s sets.
On the west side part of the Park there is an open auditorium where dance performances and concerts are usually held in summer.
